Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA) has launched a personnel registration scheme for digital government engineers. The purpose of the scheme is to support the development of digital government and cultivate professionals in this field within the Greater Bay Area.

The scheme evaluates the professional capabilities of engineers engaged in consultation, implementation, operation and maintenance, supervision, evaluation and other fields related to government information projects.

The categories of personnel registration for digital government engineers include:

• Registered Senior Digital Government Engineer (Professor Grade)
• Registered Senior Digital Government Engineer
• Registered Digital Government Engineer
• Registered Assistant Digital Government Engineer​
